Ciao! Bow Wow started as a dog food manufacturer out of the family kitchen in 2001. Chef Mel (that’s me) began preparing all natural and organic stew for her elderly Akita after giving up on finding something healthful in stores. The results were immediate and impressive. The dog had more energy and vitality. Her coat was lush. The arthritis pain was diminished. I believe that the good food added several quality years to the dog’s life.

Since that time I’ve heard similar stories from scores of pet owners. Feed your pet better food and their lives change for the better. Yours will, too.

Just for fun, I made biscuits and treats for dogs, cats and horses. I made stew for a few special clients. By word-of- mouth the reputation for the healthful treats and stew from Ciao! Bow Wow grew. My treats have been sent to canine clients in Italy and France. They have been sent to the White House, too.

With all this support from our friends, Ciao! Bow Wow had to grow in to a full retail store. My dream was to offer the best food and treats, friendly advice and a great selection of high quality gear. I did all the research. I found great values still exist and I want to share them with you.

Ciao! Bow Wow opened our first retail store in May 2008 in Rowley, Massachusetts.

Three years later, we outgrew our space and had move into a bigger store. Ciao! Bow Wow is now located at The Butcher Boy Marketplace in North Andover, Massachusetts.

You will find us at the intersection of Route 125 and Route 133.
